i thoroughly enjoyed "sitting" in the kitchen today, the way i normally would have had i been home... seeing all of the cooking going on, catching up with everybody, helping out if needed... sadly, it was a 2D and dual-sensory experience, and i wish i had been there!! but alas, a skype date with my family was the best that could be done, and i can accept and appreciate that for what it is....
enjoy the turkey, potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce, YAMS, veges, waldorf salad, veges and DESSERT!
off on my final adventure in the morning - more to report from Deutschland! Tschuss! (i need to brush up on my vocab and phrases, I wont have Elke around this time!)

We missed you at the Thanksgiving table, by the way. It was a nice meal with some interesting talk afterward -- some of it friendly, some rancorous, but all in all a good time was had. Dan sat in the other room while we discussed Proposition 8, though. He's not much for political arguments.
